My name is Sue Griffith and I live between southern California and Washington state, but I was brought up in the UK, which is where all my known ancestors were from. Over the last few years I've become a total genealogy junkie and, more recently, a genetic genealogy junkie! I'm also a bit of a supplier to anyone who shows a hint of an interest in family history and am encouraging as many relatives as possible to have their DNA tested for genealogical purposes.
I started Genealogy Junkie to document information about some of my ancestors and other relatives in the hope that others may stumble across it and make contact – and also fill in a few gaps or provide additional details. Also, I wanted to have some basic information (I had planned only a single page) on Genetic Genealogy, to highlight the advantages of being tested, as so much more can be gleaned from family groups than from individuals being tested in isolation. However, the genetic genealogy sections mushroomed, initially when I was just adding great information I found when educating myself about genetic genealogy, but then when I started adding information to help my DNA matches, as many of them seem to be totally stuck once their result come through and most don't maximize what they can get out of undergoing DNA testing.
If you seem to be related to me, please Contact Me – I'd love to hear from you, so we can share information.
p.s. If you aren't related to me, I'll apologize in advance for generally not having time to respond to individual queries about genetic genealogy and DNA testing. You may find links provided on the following webpages will answer your questions (if not, search on Google):
