MITOCHONDRIAL DNA FROM THE CORLETT-DUMBELL-ASPINALL-MASON LINE

DNA Double HelixDNA Double Helix
This page provides an outline of the descendants who have inherited the mitochondrial DNA (mt-DNA) from Florence Louise Corlett (1880-1945), Sarah Emily Dumbell (1848-1922), Sarah Aspinall (~1826-bef. 1861), Hannah Lightfoot Mason (~1806-1865) of Liverpool, and possibly Agnes Tuck (~1778-?) of Chester. Hopefully this will help with your genetic genealogy research if you have these relatives from Lancashire and Cheshire. If Agnes Tuck is definitely your ancestor, and especially if she is on your direct-female line (i.e., your grandmother's, mother's, mother's, mother's, etc. mother), please Contact Me – I may be prepared to "sponsor" (i.e., pay for!) your DNA testing.

See also Lines of Interest for Where I Can Help You, Genetic Genealogy, and Do You Have the Right DNA?

My father's mtDNA Haplogroup (based on full-sequence testing of mtDNA) is: T2b. This means that everyone above, and all their female-line (matrilineal) descendants are also T2b.
